NBA Communications: Dallas Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving has been named by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to replace injured Mavericks forward-center Anthony Davis on Team Shaq in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. This is the ninth NBA All-Star selection for Irving, who is averaging 24.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 47.5% from the field, 40.7% from three-point range and 90.1% from the free throw line in 42 games this season. Davis is unable to participate in the NBA All-Star Game because of a left adductor strain. The 10-time NBA All-Star was drafted onto Team Shaq by its general manager, TNT analyst Shaquille O’Neal. The 74th NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16 at Chase Center in San Francisco. The new four-team, three-game mini-tournament will air at 8 p.m. ET on TNT.
